Description of Practice
Hian Yao graduated from the University of Leeds, UK with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2014 and he had successfully obtained his Certificate of Legal Practice in 2015. He was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2016.

He previously underwent his pupillage in a leading law firm in Malaysia and was assigned to litigation department handling banking litigation matters and personal injury ligation matters. Subsequently, Hian Yao joined a firm specialising in the area of conveyancing where he gained experience in handling various housing development projects for established developers as well as acquisition and disposal of properties in the secondary market by individuals.

He also has the experience in handling leasing/tenancy transactions, transfer/ assignment of properties, probate/ preparation of will, loan documentation and other matters related thereto in the field of conveyancing.

He was appointed as an associate in Messrs Hong & Fong in February 2017.
