Description of Practice

Datuk Lim Hong Yeu joined Messrs Naqiz & Partners in 2005 as the partner in charge of offices in the State of Johor before establishing Messrs HONG & FONG with Dato’ Lawrence.

Datuk Lim previously practiced in Australia from 2001 to 2003, during which he advised clients on issues ranging from conveyancing and land matters, immigration law, international investment, franchising and intellectual property. Datuk Lim subsequently returned to Malaysia in 2003 and practiced in a leading law firm in Johor with branches in several states.

Datuk Lim’s principal areas of practice are focused on foreign investment law, commercial property transactions and developments, trade practices, business
planning, investment and development, corporation law and commercial banking & transactions.

Datuk Lim is also currently acting as an external legal advisor for numerous listed companies, property developers and corporations in Malaysia and overseas.

• Being part of a team in the preparation of due diligence reports in the issuance of bonds by a financial institution as well as the listing of a manufacturing

• Co-acting with a Senior Counsel to arrange a tax planning in an investment for the French Corporation in Sydney, State of New South Wales.

Dato’ Lawrence previously practised with Messrs Skrine in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a member in the Shipping Litigation Department and Corporate/Conveyancing Department before establishing Messrs HONG & FONG with Datuk Lim Hong Yeu.

Nur Zatulitri Binti Md Yusof

Description of Practice

In May 2007, she began her legal training in pupillage at Messrs Raslan Loong, Advocates & Solicitors, a boutique firm in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur having its niche in corporate legal work and focusing on corporate practice up to early 2008. She had the exposure and splendid opportunities to work on submissions to the Securities Commission of Malaysia, Foreign Investment Committee (FIC) for shares investment, documenting issuance of bonds, loan stocks and drafting security documents.

She further continued her term in the same firm as a legal assistant for another two (2) years whereby she continued gaining experience in the corporate legal arena. Her experience includes working with a German provider of maritime and oil & gas services in respect of a group restructuring exercise. In December 2010, she decided to move to Messrs Azlan & Partners, Advocates & Solicitors to expand her practice area and has moved to several other firms since.

• Worked on a RM110 million Bai’ Bithaman Ajil facility documentation with Bank Islam for an automotive service industry player for a refinancing of commercial properties

Education:

Nur Zatulitri binti Md Yusof pursued her education in law and obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB)(Hons) (2006) and Bachelor of Laws (Shari’ah) (LLBS)(Hons) (2007) under a double-degree programme at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Sulaiman has successfully overseen end-to-end conveyancing transactions, providing expert advice as a panel lawyer for banks.
